Delete your account

You can delete your BrewIQ account at any time. Deletion is permanent — we’ll erase your personal data within 30 days. This page exists so you can request deletion without installing the app.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open BrewIQ on your phone.
2. Go to Profile → Account.
3. Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm in the dialog. You’ll be signed out immediately.

Without the app

If you can’t access the app, email info@brew-iq.app from the address registered on your account. We’ll verify it’s you and schedule deletion within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your name, email, password, and authentication records
• Your equipment, beans, water profile, and brew preferences
• Your recommendations and brew session history
• Any photos or audio you uploaded

What may be retained

Anonymous brew data — with all identifying information removed — may be retained to improve our recommendation engine for all users. This data cannot be linked back to you. Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics may also be retained.

We may also retain limited records (e.g. payment receipts) where UK law requires us to keep them for tax or accounting purposes. These are kept only as long as legally required and are not used for any other purpose.

Timeline

• Immediately: account is deactivated, you’re signed out, and processing stops (no more recommendations, emails, or analytics).
• Within 30 days: personal data is permanently erased or anonymised.
• Within the 30-day window: you can cancel the deletion by emailing info@brew-iq.app.
